Edwards Street is home to several million crickets, which are bred, harvested and sold through Big Cricket Farms. In the United States, most crickets are fed to pets, but Big Cricket Farms markets exclusively to humans. Yes, Big Cricket expects people to eat bugs.

The flavor of crickets varies depending on what they are fed during the last 10 days they are alive. Jaci Ampulski, director of operations, said she’s experimented with feed including grains, fresh fruit and even mint.
